A Letter to Our Customers

Esteemed Customers:

Nearly 100,000 Latin American titles are published in Spanish each year by more than 1,000 publishers throughout Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. How does a school or library go about choosing from among them all?

Latin American publishers are our specialty. For ten years now, Libros Sin Fronteras has been carefully selecting titles for libraries, schools, and bookstores in the United States and Canada. We know the Latin American book market, and we are here to help.

Libros Sin Fronteras continually evaluates the breadth of new Latin American publications. We look at each book's relevance from a North American perspective, scrutinize its physical quality (binding, paper quality, print clarity, and attractiveness) and, of course, evaluate its price. Each year, we bring our catalogue up to date by choosing the cream of the crop to replace less current titles. No better selection of Latin American titles exists anywhere in the United States.

We pride ourselves in providing accurate and concise annotations, friendly and professional customer service, a consistently excellent fill rate, clearly defined and dependable approval plans (standing orders), and opening-day or core collections.

What a year it has been! Our new 1999 catalogue offers more than 1,500 carefully selected new titles (indicated with an asterisk). We have also completed our move into a large, new office and warehouse in downtown Olympia, and brought additional staff on board.

This year our complete selection of titles is being offered in one volume. Popular adult, young adult, and children's books comprise individual sections, while university level titles are gathered into another. Music, spoken word, and children's audio also appear seperately. When appropriate, titles appear in more than one section.

As always, I welcome your comments regarding the quality of our service, and what we can do to improve. Our customers mean everything to us, and we are excellent listeners.
